The Arena Group promotes the employment of young people

Arena Green Power S.L. has received multiple grants subject to the de minimis regime under the terms established in the EU Regulation 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 of the Commission (DPUE no352, of 24 December 2013).
Arena Green Power S.L. with CIF B90432618 undertakes to comply with the dissemination and publicity measures in accordance with the technical specifications contained in the previously mentioned Community Regulations, with respect to the hiring of young students in internships, making possible a development from the beginning of their professional career.
Endesa acquires another 3 solar projects from Arena Power for a total of 48 MW
Through its renewable subsidiary Enel Green Power España, Endesa plans to invest some 38.5 million euros in the construction of 48 MW of new capacity in Córdoba.
It has acquired 3 renewable energy generation development projects from developer Arena Power in the province of Cordoba, Spain. The new renewable capacity, which will total 48 MW, will involve an investment of €38.5 million, covering the purchase, development and construction of the projects.
Construction of these new solar facilities is scheduled to start in 2023 and there is an estimate of up to 200 specialized people hired in the renewable sector during the 9 months of construction.
Endesa explains that the 3 solar projects, will be developed while maintaining a continuous dialogue with the entities involved to generate shared added value both during and after construction. “The company’s commitment will be translated into the development of training courses in renewable energies for unemployed people from Cordoba, opening a professional future in a booming sector”, he says.
Arena Power, for its part, is currently developing a 2 GW pipeline in Spain. Arena Power was created in 2019 with the ambition of becoming an IPP in the Spanish renewable generation and hydrogen production markets. Arena Power has been advised by ATA Renewables (Technical), Ramón y Cajal (Legal), CMS (Regulatory), Garrido (Tax) and Voltiq (Financial). Following this acquisition, Arena Power will continue to collaborate in EGPE’s development process until all projects reach ready to build status.
Endesa acquires 519 MW PV in Huelva from Arena Power for 350 M€
Arena Group and its magnificent expansion with the photovoltaic development project for Endesa in Huelva.
Arena Power will develop for Enel Green Power España, a subsidiary of Endesa, 11 photovoltaic plants in different locations in the province of Huelva that will be connected to a single transmission line that will converge at the Palos substation, in the Huelva Industrial Pole, which is one of the largest energy-consuming business agglomerations in Spain.
Endesa, through its renewable development subsidiary Enel Green Power España (EGPE), has acquired a 519 megawatt (MW) photovoltaic portfolio from Spanish developer Arena Power. The portfolio consists of eleven projects under development in Huelva. Construction is expected to begin in 2022 and operations in 2024.
The projects purchased by Endesa represent an investment of around 350 million including the acquisition price and the cost of construction and commissioning. They will generate 1,250 jobs during construction and 26 during the subsequent operation and maintenance phase.
These facilities are in addition to the recent start of work by EGPE on its first solar park in the city of Huelva, San Antonio, with a capacity of 30 MW, an investment of 18 million and 100 jobs during the construction period.
The eleven projects that make up this cluster are located in six towns in the province of Huelva: La Palma del Condado, Villarrasa, Gibraleón, Trigueros, San Juan del Puerto and Beas. All of them will evacuate the energy generated, which is equivalent to the electricity supply of some 305,000 homes, through a single transmission line that will be connected to the Palos substation. This substation is located in the industrial center of Huelva, one of the largest energy-consuming business agglomerations in Spain.
This substation serves the energy needs of the chemical, oil and metallurgical complex in Huelva, which is home to 18 companies and 19 large facilities. The combination of the highest solar irradiation rates in continental Europe and high local consumption make this industrial cluster one of the most attractive portfolios in Spain. Endesa, through EGPE, will thus help to decarbonize part of the energy consumption of this cluster, since the eleven solar parks will prevent the emission of some 515,134.66 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
What will we achieve with this project?
– 515,135 tons of CO 2 will be emitted less into the atmosphere.
– The energy needed to supply 305,000 homes will be produced. The construction will generate 1250 jobs and the commissioning of the system will generate 26 stable jobs.
– In short, 519 MW of clean energy to “decarbonize” the Industrial Pole of Huelva.
