We are proud to collaborate with Climathon in their next challenge from October 28-30, 2022, called SEVILLE 2030: ENERGY OASIS OR ENERGY DESERT? Break your city’s energy dependence.
 
Climathon Sevilla opens the call for social entrepreneurs to compete under this challenge and create solutions against climate change in the city. Seville will host from October 28 to 30, the third edition of Climathon in the city, calling for entrepreneurial talent to compete in the creation of new ideas and projects that mitigate the energy dependence of Seville and reverse the present and future effects of climate change.
 
This edition, which expects to receive a large number of applications for participation, will once again form interdisciplinary groups that will work and compete for 48 hours in the CREA space to promote real impact projects that favor the energy independence of Seville within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.
 
The general coordinator of Climathon Seville, Sara Martínez-Cañavate Benítez, stresses that “we want the best minds in Seville to be able to work together to face the greatest challenge we have as a species: the sustainability of life on Earth. The primary objective of Climathon is to raise awareness and mobilize citizens to find effective solutions that can be applicable in Seville and elsewhere on our planet and accelerate the transition to a climate-resilient, carbon-free society. The urgency of this objective is, we understand, unquestionable”.

Climathon is a global movement promoted by the EU through EIT Climate-KIC and dedicated to solving cities’ climate challenges, which will be held simultaneously in 200 cities in 65 countries around the world on October 29-30.

This movement gives cities the opportunity to implement grassroots solutions by involving and empowering their own citizens in the process.During the event, entrepreneurs, students, developers and all kinds of people from different disciplines come together to solve a climate challenge facing their city.
